Udupi, Sep 15: Fire and Emergency Services personnel from Udupi carried out a timely and daring rescue operation to safely rescue a peacock that had fallen into a well in the Katapadi Kote area on Monday evening, September 14.

As soon as they received information that a peacock had fallen into a well near Katapadi Kote, the Udupi fire service personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. Mahabaleshwar descended into the well and played a key role in safely catching the peacock and bringing it out.

Fire service personnel Ashwin Sunil, Mahabaleshwar, Nagesh Poojary, Sudhir, Amar and Ganesh participated in the rescue operation.

The timely response, coordination and courageous efforts of the team ensured that the peacock was safely brought out of the well without suffering any harm.

Locals appreciated the concern and spirit of service shown by the Udupi Fire and Emergency Services personnel in rescuing not only human lives but also animals and birds.
