Mangaluru, Sep 9: A CNG tank leak was reported near Kollur on the national highway on Wednesday, September 9, prompting a quick response from the fire and emergency services.

A fire engineering team from Mangaluru NMP rushed to the spot and sprayed water as a precautionary measure to control the situation and prevent any possible fire-related incident.

Following the incident, a portion of the national highway was temporarily closed for safety reasons. The closure led to significant traffic congestion in the area, with vehicles being held up for some time.

The situation was brought under control following the intervention of the fire and emergency personnel. Authorities continued to monitor the area to ensure the safety of motorists and the public.
