Mangaluru, Sep 7: The PTA of St. Aloysius High School had the privilege of organizing a memorable Teachers’ Day celebration on 3rd September, as a heartfelt tribute to our wonderful teaching community.
The evening began at 5:30 p.m. with a prayer song led by our PTA Vice President, Mrs. Jasmine D’Souza, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp. This was followed by a warm welcome address by the PTA Vice President, who had the joy of welcoming our PTA President, Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto, SJ; Assistant Headmaster, Tr. Lancy D’Souza; PTA Secretary, Mrs. Edna Mascarenhas; teaching staff; non-teaching staff; retired teachers; retired non-teaching staff; and our former PTA members. Their presence made the evening truly special.

The celebration continued with fun-filled entertainment, games and wonderful moments of togetherness. The teachers participated enthusiastically and enjoyed every moment, filling the evening with laughter, joy and cherished memories.
Rev. Fr. Johnson Pinto, Headmaster, presided over the gathering and shared inspiring words with the audience. He spoke beautifully about the invaluable role and lasting influence of teachers in shaping the lives of children and building a better society.
He also appreciated the heartfelt efforts of the PTA members in coming together to express their love, gratitude, and appreciation towards the teaching community. His words highlighted the beautiful bond between the school, teachers, parents, and the PTA.
PTA members were deeply grateful to Fr Johnson Pinto for always being a strong pillar of support to the PTA. His constant encouragement, guidance, and trust mean a great deal to every PTA member and inspire them to continue working together for the betterment of the school community.
PTA members showed gratitude to Tr. Lancy Dsouza, Asst. Headmaster and Tr. Praveen Cutinha for their wonderful service they are rendering to the school.
The PTA had also thoughtfully arranged special gifts for the teachers—tokens of gratitude that we hope will be treasured and remembered for years to come. Starters were served during the evening, followed by dinner at around 8:00 p.m., and the programme concluded at approximately 9:00 p.m.
The entire celebration went beautifully and successfully. The happiness and smiles on the faces of our teachers were the greatest reward for all the efforts that went into organizing the event.
A special word of gratitude goes to Jasmine D’Souza, PTA vice president, who coordinated and organized the programme with great dedication, together with the wholehearted support and cooperation of all the PTA members.
Vote of thanks was given by Tr. Edna Mascarenhas, PTA secretary.
It was not just a Teachers’ Day celebration—it was an evening of gratitude, appreciation, friendship and togetherness, creating beautiful memories for our entire St. Aloysius High school family.
