Kasargod: KSRTC temporary conductor dies by suicide amid fear of job loss

Kasargod, Aug 4: A 41-year-old temporary conductor with the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) allegedly died by suicide at Muliyar in Kasargod district, reportedly due to severe anxiety over the possibility of losing his job.

The deceased has been identified as Yogeesh M (41), a resident of Majakkar, Muliyar. He had been serving as a temporary conductor with KSRTC for the past 18 years.

According to reports, Yogeesh had been under severe stress and was experiencing depression over the past few days amid fears that he might lose his job. It is alleged that this anxiety led to the tragic incident near his residence.

He is survived by his mother and two brothers.

Adur police have registered a case and taken up further investigation into the incident.
