Bantwal: Rickshaw driver displays honesty, returns lost purse to owner

Bantwal, Jul 3: Displaying exemplary honesty and humanity, an auto-rickshaw driver returned a lost purse containing important documents and cash to its rightful owner at Kalladka on Friday, July 3.

The auto-rickshaw driver, Rudresh Perne, who is also the brother of the owners of Sathyashree Catering and Mathrushree Catering in Perne near Uppinangady, had visited Kalladka for some work. While there, he found the purse lying on the Kalladka service road.

Using the information found inside the purse, Rudresh contacted the owner over the phone. The owner, identified as Hafeez, a native of Bengaluru working as a welder at Bhagavathi Steels in Panemangalore-Melkar, was asked to come near the Kalladka mosque, where the purse was safely handed over to him.

The honest gesture of Rudresh Perne has garnered widespread appreciation from the public. Locals also recalled a similar act of humanity that occurred in Kalladka recently.
