Mangaluru, Jul 3: An attempted burglary was reported in Badriya Nagar under the jurisdiction of the Surathkal Police Station during the early hours of Friday.
According to sources, a group of four men allegedly entered the residence of Hamza in Badriya Nagar at around 2.30 am. Family members woke up after noticing suspicious movement inside the house. They managed to apprehend one of the intruders, while the remaining three fled the scene.
The apprehended suspect has been identified as Deep Kumar, a native of Bihar. He was handed over to the Surathkal police, who have taken him into custody for further investigation.
Police are continuing their investigation to trace the remaining suspects and ascertain the motive behind the attempted burglary.
