Mangaluru: Govt issues Rs 5 lac compensation to families of Kankanady wall collapse victims

Mangaluru, Jul 1: The government has distributed compensation cheques of Rs 5 lac to each of the bereaved families of the victims of the tragic wall collapse in Kankanady. The incident which occured in the early hours of July 1 had claimed three lives, 

Authorities also announced that the government will bear the entire medical expenses of the injured. The decision was taken as part of the relief measures to support the affected families during this difficult time.

Officials emphasized that necessary assistance will continue, and the government has assured all possible support to those impacted by the tragedy.

    Good they atleast receive compensation .But that doesnt mean the lives of deceased will come back or is not as before.What about fine to the wall owner who was main cause for not building proper wall?Goes simply walk out?Find he should be fined.
