Hyderabad, Jun 26: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has registered a disproportionate assets case against suspended Hyderabad revenue official Thummakomma Sucharita after searches allegedly unearthed assets worth around Rs 5.05 crore linked to her and her associates.
Sucharita, who was serving as Tahsildar and Joint Sub-Registrar at Shamirpet, is already in judicial custody after being arrested earlier in connection with an alleged Rs 30 lakh bribery case.

According to the ACB, searches were conducted at Sucharita's residence and other premises linked to her relatives, alleged benamis and associates as part of the investigation.
During the raids, officials reportedly recovered assets including 2.17 acres of agricultural land in Siddipet district, three flats in Hyderabad, two residential plots, a Volkswagen car, a Hyundai Creta SUV, gold and diamond jewellery valued at around Rs 1.2 crore, Rs 12 lakh in cash and bank deposits amounting to Rs 38 lakh.
The ACB estimated the total value of the seized assets at Rs 5.05 crore, adding that the current market value of the immovable properties could be substantially higher.
The agency alleged that Sucharita amassed assets disproportionate to her known sources of income through corrupt practices and illegal means during her tenure in government service.
A case has been registered under the relevant provisions relating to possession of disproportionate assets, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the wealth and identify any additional persons involved.
