Panaji, Jun 26: Goa's domestic air connectivity has received a further boost with Star Air launching a new non-stop service between Manohar International Airport (GOX) at Mopa and Mundra in Gujarat.
The new service commenced operations on June 23 and will operate five days a week, from Tuesday to Saturday, offering an additional travel option between Goa and Gujarat.
The direct route is expected to improve accessibility for travellers while strengthening tourism, business travel and commercial exchanges between the two states.

Tourism stakeholders have welcomed the new service, saying enhanced air connectivity is vital for sustaining tourist arrivals and expanding Goa's presence in emerging domestic markets. The direct connection is also expected to benefit business travellers and investors by reducing travel time and improving convenience.
Welcoming the launch, Goa Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said improved accessibility remains a key component of the state's tourism strategy.
"The commencement of the direct Goa-Mundra service marks another positive step in enhancing Goa's domestic air connectivity. Improved accessibility is integral to our vision of making Goa a destination that is easy to reach throughout the year," he said.
Director of Tourism Kedar Naik said every new flight route strengthens Goa's tourism network and provides better access for visitors from across the country.
"Every new air route helps widen Goa's tourism footprint and improves access for travellers from across the country. The Goa-Mundra service opens another important gateway into the state, enabling more visitors from Gujarat and neighbouring regions to experience the diverse attractions Goa has to offer," he said.
The Department of Tourism said it would continue to work closely with airline operators and aviation stakeholders to strengthen air connectivity, improve visitor access and support the sustainable growth of tourism in the state.
