Media Release

Mangaluru, Jun 25: The kindergarten section of Carmel School celebrated Father’s Day with great enthusiasm through a variety of activities that highlighted the special bond between fathers and their children.

The kindergarten section organized a special Father’s Day ‘Cooking Without Fire’ competition titled My Dad, My Hero, My Chef on June 20. Sixteen fathers participated enthusiastically with their children, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and culinary skills. The event was judged by retired teacher Margaret Monteiro and coordinator Sonia Monteiro. The principal, Sr Rosevera AC, also attended the programme, tasted the dishes prepared by the participants, and appreciated their efforts.

Teacher Lara proposed the vote of thanks, bringing the event to a successful conclusion.

As part of the Father’s Day celebration, fathers were invited to dress their children in the morning and drop them to school. A special photo corner was set up, allowing fathers and children to capture cherished memories together.

A special assembly was conducted with prayer and songs. The children also spoke a few words expressing their love, gratitude, and appreciation for their fathers. In the classrooms, LKG children created paper-crush crafts, while UKG children made thumbprint crafts. The beautiful creations were displayed for all to admire.

The celebration also included a dance session featuring songs dedicated to fathers. Children lovingly prepared greeting cards to present to their fathers as a token of love and appreciation.

The Father’s Day celebration was filled with happiness, creativity, and meaningful moments, making the occasion memorable for both fathers and children.
