Karkala, Sep 12: The students of Government Pre-University College, Sanoor, Karkala taluk, achieved outstanding success at the district-level singing and folk song competition held at the Dr V S Acharya Scouts & Guides District Training Centre, Udupi, on September 10.

In a stellar exhibition of musical talent, the institution's Rangers division clinched the first prize in the folk song category, earning a well-deserved selection to represent the district at the upcoming state-level competition.

Further adding to the institution's laurels, the Rovers division secured the second prize in the same category. The victorious Rangers team comprised Likhitha, Manvitha, Hansika, Sushmitha, Shivani, and Deeksha, all studying in the second-year commerce section.

Applauding this remarkable milestone, the college principal, Sucheta Kamath, alongside the entire lecturers' fraternity, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the winning teams and wished them continued success in their upcoming state-level endeavors.
