Udupi, Jun 24: The student parliament investiture ceremony was held with great enthusiasm at Madhava Kripa School, Manipal, on June 19.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, Dr Geetha Shashidhar, principal of Anandatheertha Vidyalaya, encouraged students to recognize their hidden potential and develop leadership qualities. She emphasized that students should make the best use of the opportunities available during their school years, as these experiences serve as the foundation for a successful future.

Presiding over the function, Dr Sreedhara R Pai, administrative officer of the Academy of General Education, Manipal, urged students to imbibe noble values and become responsible members of society.

The school principal, Swati Kulkarni, administered the oath of office to the newly elected student leaders, emphasizing discipline, responsibility, and dedication to duty. The school flag was ceremonially handed over to Anshul Sharun, the student leader, symbolizing the transfer of authority. Other student office-bearers were honored with school badges.

On the occasion, students who had excelled in academics, sports, and various co-curricular activities during the previous academic year were felicitated for their achievements.

The programme was attended by Chandrashekar Prabhu, school correspondent; Jyothi Santosh and Kasturi Kamath, vice principals; Asha Nayak, headmistress; and members of the teaching faculty.

The event began with a welcome address by student Shanvik K Jha of 11 A, Charitha M 10 F introduced the chief guest Mohammed Danish of 12A compered the programme and Aadhya Shetty 11B delivered the vote of thanks.
