Udupi: Bomb threat email triggers intensive search at district court

Udupi, Jun 22: Panic gripped the Udupi district court premises on Monday morning after an email threatening a bomb attack was received by the court authorities.

Upon receiving information about the threat, the Udupi city police, along with the dog squad and bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS), rushed to the court complex and launched an extensive search operation.

Security personnel are conducting thorough inspections across the court premises and various sections of the building to ensure safety. As a precautionary measure, security arrangements at the court complex have been tightened, and additional police personnel have been deployed.

The police have also initiated an investigation to trace the origin of the threatening email and determine its authenticity.
