Mangaluru, Jun 20: Milagres College of Nursing, in collaboration with Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College & Hospital, successfully concluded its International Yoga Day programme with a valedictory function held at the MCON auditorium. The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, and healthy ageing.
The valedictory programme commenced with a prayer and ceremonial lamp lighting, followed by a welcome address delivered by Jyothi Naik. The event was presided over by Jyothi Cutinha, vice principal, Milagres College of Nursing.













Dr Anoop K, assistant professor, Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College & Hospital, Mangaluru, graced the occasion as the chief guest and participated in the lamp lighting ceremony. In his address, he highlighted the significance of yoga in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing stress, and enhancing overall well-being. He encouraged students to make yoga a part of their daily routine.
The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr Diana Lobo, principal, Milagres College of Nursing, and Fr Ivan Michael Rodrigues, correspondent, Milagres Educational Institutions.
A special yoga session was conducted by Jayras and Imran, III BYNS students from Sharada Yoga and Naturopathy Medical College & Hospital. Through demonstrations of yogasanas, pranayama, and relaxation techniques, they provided valuable practical exposure to the participants.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students. The collaborative initiative strengthened awareness regarding the role of yoga in achieving holistic health and wellness.
The event was efficiently compered by Anshel Annie D’Souza. The valedictory programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Diana D’Lima, who expressed gratitude to the chief guest, management, collaborating institution, faculty members, student instructors, and all participants for contributing to the success of the programme.
