Young talents shine at Karnataka Social Club Bahrain’s Prince and Princess contest

Media Release

Bahrain, Jun 15: The Karnataka Social Club-Bahrain hosted its flagship Prince and Princess Contest at its Manama premises on June 12, providing a vibrant platform for children of club members to showcase their talent and confidence.

The club, a popular organisation among the Mangalorean community in Bahrain, has been serving the entertainment and cultural needs of expatriates for more than five decades.

Around 35 children participated in the pageant across two age categories — 4 to 8 years and 8 to 12 years.

The younger contestants were led on the catwalk by Ferrel Rodrigues, a Bahrain-based beauty queen and title holder of the Kudlotsava Beauty Pageant held in Bahrain last year. Inspired by her guidance, the participants confidently walked the ramp to music provided by renowned Bahrain-based DJ Francy’s.

The older contestants were led onto the stage by former Prince and Princess contestant Aliyana Pereira.

While judges evaluated the performances, members participated in a fun-filled game titled “Iski Topi Uske Sar”, where participants passed hats around and faced elimination when the music stopped.

The programme also featured a sports awards presentation, with the club’s sports secretary honouring winners of earlier sporting events with medals. Members later joined a lively line-dancing session to popular tracks including ‘Achy Breaky Heart’ and ‘Shalalalala’.

The results of the contest were announced by judges Sandhya D’Souza and Karen Pinto, who praised the participants for their enthusiasm and talent.

In the 4-8 years category, Thalia Fernandes was crowned Little Princess, while Anvik R Bhandari won the Little Prince title. Aurelia Pinto and Stanvil D’Souza were declared runners-up in the Little Princess and Little Prince categories respectively.

In the senior category, Sadie Lobo secured the Princess title and Warren Aranha was crowned Prince. Annora D’Mello finished as runner-up Princess, while Deon D’Sa was named runner-up Prince.

Special awards were presented to Raisil Nazareth for Best Smile and Giselle Danthis for Rising Star.

The winners were crowned by Michelle D’Souza, winner of the Indian Club May Queen 2025 title, Miss Arabia International 2026, and runner-up in Woman of the Month.

The event concluded with a celebratory photo session involving the winners, runners-up and their proud parents.

Club president Cletus Rodrigues and assistant general secretary Herman D’Souza presented the winners’ sashes during the prize distribution ceremony.
