Mangaluru, Jun 6: Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, (CBSE), Kotekar, celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm and a strong commitment to environmental conservation on June 5. The programme commenced with a prayer service, seeking blessings for a greener and healthier planet.

Following the prayer service, a welcome speech was delivered. Then the students presented an inspiring skit with the message, ‘Say No to Plastic, Save Nature'. Through their performance, they created awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly habits.

A special highlight of the programme was the distribution of saplings by Akhil, manager, Canara Bank, Kotekar Branch. Addressing the gathering, Akhil emphasized the importance of planting trees and preserving the environment for future generations. He encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and actively participate in environmental protection initiatives.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The event served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to protect and nurture the environment.
