Mangaluru, May 28: A two-day orientation programme on Communicative English and soft skills was successfully conducted by Googolplex Edu Tech under the guidance of Raagini on May 25 and 26 at Carmel English Medium Higher Primary School, Kotekar.

The programme was highly interactive, informative, and professionally enriching for the teaching staff. The sessions focused on enhancing communicative competence, classroom interaction, effective teaching methodologies, and confidence in public speaking.

A variety of engaging activities such as group discussions, role plays, riddles, tongue twisters, spelling bee activities, and warm-up exercises were conducted to encourage active participation and collaborative learning. Special emphasis was laid on phonetics, pronunciation, accents, and various forms of English usage, helping teachers refine their language and communication skills.

The resource person also introduced innovative teaching strategies including gamification, mind mapping, learner-centred methodologies, and activity-based learning techniques to make classroom teaching more engaging and meaningful. An insightful session on the VAK model of learning — Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic — enabled teachers to better understand diverse learning styles and adapt their teaching approaches accordingly.

The programme greatly benefited the participants by enhancing their communication skills, classroom management techniques, and overall teaching effectiveness. Teachers also gained practical exposure to modern pedagogical approaches and interactive learning strategies that can be effectively implemented in daily classroom instruction.

Overall, the orientation programme proved to be highly beneficial, inspiring, and empowering, equipping educators with practical tools and modern teaching techniques for holistic student engagement and effective classroom communication.
