Beltangady: Public assistance sought to track down suspected serial burglar from Kerala

Beltangady, May 19: The Dakshina Kannada district police have issued an appeal to the public seeking information regarding a notorious suspect from Kerala, who is believed to be involved in a series of house burglaries reported in Beltangady and Uppinangady over the last two days.

The suspect has been identified as Thangachan, alias Matthew, alias Basheer, a resident of Taliparamba in Kannur, Kerala. According to police sources, a non-bailable arrest warrant against the suspect is already pending execution at the Puttur town police station.

Following the recent spike in break-ins over the past 48 hours, the police strongly suspect his involvement and are tracking his movements.

The police have requested anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect to immediately contact the following numbers:
