New Delhi, May 19: National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a correction window for candidates appearing for the re-examination of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate 2026, allowing students to change their examination city preferences ahead of the test scheduled on June 21.
According to an official notification issued by the agency, candidates can update their present address and modify their first and second preferred examination cities through the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, until May 21, 2026.

The NTA clarified that no fee would be charged for making the corrections. However, only the present address and examination city preferences can be edited during the correction window.
The agency further stated that no requests for additional changes would be entertained after the deadline. Candidates who do not make any modifications during the stipulated period will retain their existing examination city allotment.
The move comes in the wake of the Centre’s decision to conduct a re-examination for NEET-UG 2026 after the earlier examination was cancelled amid alleged paper leak and malpractice concerns that triggered nationwide outrage and protests among aspirants and parents.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had earlier announced that admit cards for the re-examination would be issued by June 14, giving candidates roughly a week to make travel and examination-related arrangements.
The NEET-UG 2026 re-examination is scheduled to be held on June 21 from 2 pm to 5.15 pm in offline pen-and-paper mode at centres across India and abroad.
According to the notification, the examination will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
