Udupi: Padubidri auto-rickshaw driver returns bag with gold ornaments, earns praise for honesty

Udupi, May 18: An auto-rickshaw driver displayed exemplary honesty by returning a bag containing gold ornaments worth thousands of rupees that was found at the Padubidri bus stand.

The bag, containing gold ornaments valued at around Rs 50,000, was found near the bus stand by auto driver Jagadish. He, along with Ashalatha, handed over the bag to the Padubidri police station.

The police later traced the owner of the bag, Fatima from Mangaluru, and returned it to her.

Padubidri police station officer Saktivelu was present on the occasion.
