Mumbai, May 11: Television actress Rubina Dilaik has shared her perspective on feminism, relationships, and the importance of emotional balance between partners, saying that true equality can only thrive when women are given the freedom to build their own identity.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, Rubina said feminism goes beyond slogans and public discussions, stressing that genuine support from a partner plays a crucial role in empowering women.
“Unless a man gives a woman the opportunity to let her identity flourish, no matter how loudly we speak about feminism, it cannot truly exist,” she said.

Drawing inspiration from spirituality and Indian philosophy, the actress compared relationships to the harmonious balance between the energies of Shakti and Shiva. According to her, masculine and feminine energies are meant to complement one another rather than compete.
Rubina explained that both energies have equal importance in maintaining harmony within relationships and families.
“When Shakti needs to express strength, that power becomes visible. Similarly, when Shiva reflects masculinity, that energy is seen. The beauty lies in the balance between the two,” she said.
The actress also spoke about how relationships evolve over time, with partners supporting each other during different phases of life. Referring to her marriage with husband Abhinav Shukla, she said mutual encouragement and understanding form the foundation of a strong family structure.
“There are phases when he focuses on building his dreams and I stand beside him, and there are times when I pursue my aspirations and he supports me. Recognising and respecting these phases strengthens family values,” she added.
On the professional front, Rubina is preparing to participate in the upcoming season of the reality adventure show Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 15. The actress is expected to travel to Cape Town, South Africa, for the shoot.
Sharing her emotions about the upcoming journey, Rubina admitted that staying away from her twin baby girls for nearly 40 days would be emotionally difficult. She said she would especially miss their hugs, touch, and daily moments together as a mother.
