Mangaluru: Pedestrian killed after speeding lorry hits him in Farangipete

Mangaluru, May 6: A 60-year-old pedestrian lost his life in a tragic accident after a speeding lorry hit him at Farangipete.

The deceased has been identified as Salahuddin, a resident of Farangipete.

The incident occurred when Salahuddin was standing by the roadside opposite Sevanjali in Farangipete. According to reports, two lorries were attempting to overtake each other when one of the speeding vehicles lost control and crashed into him. The driver of the lorry fled the scene immediately after the collision.

The police have registered a case and an investigation is underway to track down the absconding driver and the vehicle.
