Kundapur: Student missing over fear of low NEET scores traced in Sakleshpur

Kundapur, May 5: In a swift operation, the Kota police successfully traced a 17-year-old student in Sakleshpur who had gone missing fearing poor results in the recently held NEET examination.

The student has been identified as Abhishek, a resident of Kota Moorkai. A second PU student, he was residing in a hostel. Abhishek appeared for the NEET exam in Udupi on May 3. On May 4, he called his mother in Hassan and informed her that he was heading to Manipal from his home.

When he failed to return by evening, his anxious parents began a search. They soon discovered a note left behind by him, in which he expressed his fear of scoring low marks in the competitive exam.

A complaint was registered at the Kota police station. The police immediately launched an investigation and tracked his movements. Distressed over the exam, Abhishek had reportedly traveled to Dharmasthala and was en route to Sakleshpur. The police successfully located him in Sakleshpur and are currently bringing him back safely, sources said.
