Mangaluru, Apr 25: A summer camp was successfully conducted at Ryan International School, Kulai, beginning on April 6 and concluded on April 16. The camp was organized to help children beat the summer heat in a fun and engaging way while providing opportunities to learn and explore new skills.

The participants were divided into two groups based on their age, ensuring that age-appropriate activities were planned and executed effectively. The camp featured a wide range of activities including swimming, dancing, yoga, Zumba, music, and art and craft.

Students thoroughly enjoyed their time in the swimming pool while learning basic swimming skills. Fitness activities such as yoga and Zumba helped them stay active and healthy. In music sessions, children learned to play the keyboard and sang songs together. Dance classes were lively, with students enthusiastically performing to trending songs.

The art and craft sessions were particularly creative, with activities such as making dancing dolls using coconut shells, photo frames, face masks, and finger puppets. In addition, simple science experiments were demonstrated by the teachers, which greatly fascinated and amazed the children.

Fun games such as musical chairs, ‘blow the cup with a balloon,’ and balancing games were also conducted, bringing joy and excitement to the participants. A special movie session was arranged in the AV room, where children were given movie tickets and popcorn, making it a delightful experience to watch a film with their friends.

The camp also included a ‘cooking without fire’ activity, during which students showcased their culinary skills by preparing cake and watermelon juice.

Overall, the 10-day summer camp was a memorable experience for the students. They not only learned new skills but also created lasting memories. At the end of the camp, children were given the art and craft items they had made, adding to their sense of achievement and joy.
