Mangaluru: Young law student launches ‘Vademecum Disputatoris’ at SDM Law College

Media Release

Mangaluru, Apr 25: A significant milestone in legal academia was marked with the release of Vademecum Disputatoris, authored by Aschel Yohan Simson, a fourth-year student of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College.

Recognised as the youngest author contributing to the field of practical legal education in India, Aschel is the son of Roy Prakash Simson and Cheryl Simson Bajpe.

The book was formally released on April 24 during the inaugural ceremony of LEX ULTIMA – the Ultimate Battle of Legal Minds, organised by the Moot Court Society of the college.

The inauguration was carried out by G B Reddy, vice chancellor of National University of Advanced Legal Studies, in the presence of academicians, legal professionals and law students from across the country.

The handbook serves as a comprehensive guide for law students, covering key aspects such as mooting techniques, legal research, drafting skills and courtroom etiquette. It aims to bridge the gap between theoretical legal education and practical application in courtrooms.

The release of the book at a national-level academic platform highlights the achievement of a young legal scholar and underscores the institution’s commitment to promoting practical legal education.
