Mangaluru: Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT) marks 18th annual day with grandeur

Mangaluru, Apr 24: Yenepoya Institute of Technology (YIT) celebrated its 18th annual day in a blaze of cultural splendour and academic pride, inaugurated by chief guest Harish Neermarga, the manager and director Accolade Tech Solutions.

The event, held at the institute's sprawling auditorium, drew a vibrant gathering of students, faculty members, and other dignitaries. Guest of honour, Dr S N Venkatesh Nayak, president at Vibrant Education and Charitable Trust and principal, Vibrant PU college, Moodbidri, Yenepoya Abdulla Javeed, director- operations, Yenepoya group, graced the occasion alongside principal Prof Dr Abdul Kareem, campus administrator, B Mohammed Shahid, and other senior officials including dean and department heads.

Dr Harish Neermarga, in his inaugural address, lauded YIT's commitment to holistic education. "In an era of rapid technological change, institutions like YIT bridge innovation and human values, preparing students for global challenges," he said, emphasizing the rapid advancement of technical education and knowledge in recent years.

Dr S N Venkatesh Nayak highlighted operational excellence, stating, "YIT's student-centric approach has elevated it as a beacon of quality engineering education in Karnataka." Principal Prof Dr Kareem presented the annual report, showcasing achievements-placement records, research publications, professional development of the faculty members, awards received by the institution and project wins.

The program featured dazzling performances and awards for top performers in academics, sports, and extracurriculars. The institution honoured Nitya S P, 4th year, department of electronic & communication engineering, for her outstanding excellence by bagging gold medal in state-level as well as south-west zone weightlifting. Institution acknowledged the meritorious students.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Dr Lami M C, assistant professor, underscoring unity and future aspirations. YIT's 18th annual day not only honoured past milestones but ignited enthusiasm for tomorrow's innovations.
