Mangaluru, Apr 16: The inaugural function of 'Envision–2026', a national level techno-cultural fest, was held on April 16 at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru.
The event marked the beginning of a vibrant platform celebrating innovation, creativity, and cultural diversity. The function was presided over by Dr A Srinivas Rao, honourable chancellor of Srinivas University and president of A Shama Rao Foundation. The chief guest, Ronald Issac Gomes, founder and managing director of Sunray Products Pvt. Ltd, graced the occasion. Eshan S Rao, member, board of governors, Srinivas University, attended as the guest of honour. The event also witnessed the presence of Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal.
In his address, the chief guest emphasised that when creativity and technology come together, true innovation takes place. He highlighted that 'Envision 2026' serves as a platform that brings together some of the brightest, most creative, and passionate minds, encouraging them to dream big and create something extraordinary. He further noted that the fest is not merely about competition, but also about building memories, fostering collaboration, and celebrating diverse cultures and backgrounds.


In his presidential address, Dr A Srinivas Rao appreciated the Envision team for consistently organising innovative events that reflect students’ ideas and contribute to their knowledge growth. He expressed satisfaction over the enthusiastic participation of more than 1,500 students and encouraged them to make the best use of such opportunities and strive for excellence.
Dr. Raghavendra M J, assistant professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and faculty coordinator, presented an overview of the various technical and cultural activities planned for Envision 2026. The programme commenced with an invocation by Shreya and Vaishnavi, followed by a warm welcome address by Athmi Shetty. The chief guest was introduced by Chirag, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Karan V Rai. The event was effectively compered by Vandana and Youkthi.
