Mangaluru: ‘SAMPARK 2026’ brings together MSNIM alumni, marks 25 years of association

Mangaluru, Apr 11: The Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management Alumni Association (MSNIMAA) hosted ‘Sampark 2026’, its alumni meet, at Gold Finch Hotel on Saturday, April 4, bringing together over 100 alumni for an evening of celebration, recognition, and networking. The meet assumed added significance as it commemorated 25 years of the Alumni Association.

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of the Alumni Association logo by Manel Annappa Nayak, president of the Women’s National Education Society (WNES), along with former founder director Dr G V Shenoy, director Dr Molly S Chaudhuri, MSNIMAA president Sandeep Baliga and secretary Nanditha Sunil.

The programme featured felicitations to distinguished personalities and long-serving staff members in recognition of their contributions to the institution. Dr G V Shenoy, former director Dr Narayan Kayarkatte and director Dr Molly S Chaudhuri were specially honoured for their leadership and service. Long-serving staff members Yogitha Shetty, Jyothi Shetty, Tanuja Jogi, Rashmi H, Sarvamangala G, Shivaraj, and Suresh Shenoy were also felicitated, while supporting staff members Rathna, Vasantha, and Meenakshi received monetary awards in appreciation of their commitment.

Academic excellence was recognised through the felicitation of university rank holders. Lenisha Shareen Peris, who secured first rank in 2023, was present to receive the honour, while other awardees included Chaithra R Shanbhag (second rank, 2023), Vaishnavi (fifth rank, 2023), and M Anusha Prabhu (first rank, 2024).

Addressing the gathering, Dr Molly S Chaudhuri emphasised the importance of sustained alumni engagement in strengthening institutional growth and legacy. “The continued success of alumni reflects the strength of the institute’s academic foundation,” she observed.

Former faculty and staff members also attended the meet and interacted with alumni, appreciating their professional achievements across sectors.

MSNIMAA president Sandeep Baliga delivered the welcome address. Assistant professors Divya and Manasa presented the felicitation citations. Alumna Shivani of the 21st batch proposed the vote of thanks, while assistant professor Sathvika Shetty compered the programme.

The evening concluded with a dinner, followed by vibrant networking interactions and a lively DJ night, making it a memorable reunion for all attendees.
