Bantwal: 38-year-old man ends life over personal issues at Vittal

Bantwal, Apr 2: A 38-year-old man reportedly ended his life by hanging himself from a tree in a forest area at Nekkarekadu in Vittal Kasaba village on Thursday, April 2.

The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Naik (38), a resident of Nekkarekadu.

According to the complaint registered at the Vittal police station, Ramesh was reportedly habituated to the consumption of intoxicating substances. It is also suspected that he was deeply distressed over being unmarried, which may have driven him to take the extreme step.

The incident came to light when his body was found hanging from a tree on a nearby hill. The Vittal police visited the spot and conducted an inquest. A case has been registered in this regard, and further investigations are underway.
