Mangaluru: Accused absconding for 9 years arrested

Mangaluru, Apr 1: Urwa police have arrested an accused who had been absconding for nine years, evading police action.

The arrested accused has been identified as Suhan alias Sonu (33), a resident of Ashok Nagar in Mangaluru.

Cases had been registered against him at Urwa police station in 2016 and 2017 (two cases), and at Mangaluru North police station in 2020 (one case).

In connection with a case registered at Urwa police station, the court had issued an LPC warrant against the accused.

On March 29, the accused was traced and apprehended in Mumbai by Urwa police station ASI Lakshman and his team. He was produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody.
