Mangaluru: Leopard that caused panic captured near Neermarga

Mangaluru, Mar 26: A leopard that had created panic in the Neermarga and Kudupu areas has finally been captured.

The animal was trapped in a cage installed by the forest department in the Kelerai area near Neermarga at around 3.30 am on Thursday, it is learnt.

Local residents had been living in fear for the past few days due to the movement of the leopard in the area.

The leopard was captured through a joint operation by forest department officials, staff, and local residents.

It is reported that efforts are underway to safely relocate the leopard to a forest area.
