Kundapur, Mar 26: A truck went out of control, mounted the divider on National Highway 66 at Kumbashi, crossed onto the opposite side of the road, and fell into a ditch in an incident that occurred late in the evening on Wednesday March 25.
The truck, which was transporting stone gravel from Udupi towards Kundapur, reportedly lost control, suddenly climbed the divider, moved onto the opposite lane, and veered off into a ditch. As a result, the driver sustained severe injuries to his head and neck and was immediately shifted to a private hospital in Koteshwar.
It is said that the accident occurred due to a tyre burst. Fortunately, a major tragedy was averted.
