Mangaluru, Mar 25: Mohammad Arshad (30), residing in a rented house in Kallarakodi village of Naringana, has gone missing, prompting the Konaje police to issue a lookout notice.

Arshad, originally from Kote Ganguru in Shivamogga, had been living in Naringana with his wife. Their daughter stays at her maternal grandparents’ home in Shivamogga.

According to his wife, on March 23, Arshad returned home at 4 pm after work and told her, “I need to go to Shivamogga to see our daughter,” before leaving at 8 pm.

“He promised to call as soon as he reached Shivamogga, but by 6 am on March 24, he had not contacted me,” she said.

Attempts to reach him by phone were unsuccessful as his phone was switched off. She then contacted his parents, who confirmed that he had not arrived there either.

Concerned for his safety, his wife lodged a complaint with the Konaje police, who have now issued a lookout notice to trace him.
