Tehran, Mar 9: The Embassy of India in Tehran has issued an urgent advisory for Indian nationals residing in or travelling through Iran, cautioning them against approaching land borders for travel to third countries without prior coordination.
In an official statement released on Monday, March 9, the embassy emphasized that any movement towards land border points should only be undertaken after obtaining explicit guidance from the diplomatic mission.


Restrictions on assistance
The embassy clarified that it would not be in a position to extend assistance once individuals have exited Iranian territory and find themselves unable to enter the neighbouring country. This warning comes as a measure to prevent Indian citizens from being stranded in "no-man's land" or facing legal complications at international border crossings.
