AGNESIA 2K26: National intercollegiate fest unites talent and tradition

Mangaluru, Feb 26: St Agnes College (Autonomous) Centre for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Mangaluru successfully hosted AGNESIA 2K26, a two-day national level intercollegiate fest, on February 24 and 25 at the Mother Mary Alyosia Centenary Auditorium. The fest brought together students from various institutions to showcase their academic, cultural, and creative talents.

The fest was inaugurated by noted Actor, writer and director J P Thuminad, who lit the ceremonial lamp along with Sr Maria Roopa AC, joint secretary of St Agnes Institutions; Sr Dr M Venissa AC, principal, entrepreneur Arjun, coordinator of PG Studies Sr Dr M Vinora AC, faculty coordinator Dr Dolan Champa Banerjee and student coordinator Jobi Thomas John.

Chief guest J P Thuminad in his address, fondly recalled his school days and shared his journey in the creative field. Emphasising the value of learning, he said, “Education is the strongest foundation for a successful life. With hard work and dedication, every student can achieve great heights. “

More than 80 colleges from different states participated in the fest, showcasing their talents in various cultural and academic competitions.

The fest concluded with a grand valedictory ceremony graced by the chief guest Rajesh D’Costa, manager HR MRPL.

Prizes were distributed to the winners during the ceremony. The overall cultural championship was bagged by St Aloysius College (Deemed to be University) and the runner-up title was secured by St Agnes College (Autonomous).

AGNESIA 2K26 was a vibrant celebration of intellect, creativity, and cultural excellence, fostering an intercollegiate spirit and holistic student development.
