Udupi, Jan 27: The death toll in the tourist boat capsize incident at Kodibengre has risen to three, after another victim succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Disha (23), a resident of Mysuru.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of January 26, when a tourist boat carrying a group of youths from Mysuru, who had arrived in Kodibengre on holiday, capsized in the water. Two persons had died on the same day, while two others were critically injured and admitted to a hospital in Manipal.

With Disha’s death, the toll has now climbed to three. Treatment is continuing for the remaining injured survivor. Further details are awaited.
