Mangaluru’s Instagram ‘Reels Star’ Asha Pandit dies of heart attack

Mangaluru, Jan 23: Asha Pandit, a resident of Naguri who had created a buzz on Instagram by scolding her followers in a distinctive style, passed away due to a heart attack in the early hours on Friday January 23.

Asha Pandit had gained popularity on Instagram for her unusual and often abusive reels. She also ran a small shop near Padil.

According to family sources, she had episodes of vomiting last night. In the early hours on Friday, she reportedly suffered a heart attack and collapsed in the courtyard of her house.

By the time she was rushed to the hospital, she had already passed away.

    Rest in peace Ashakka. End of an era! Lead a bold unconventional life, facing every mockery from all the sides, still held on to what she was doing and even at old age, she eked out her livelihood by the income from the small canteen!
