Mangaluru: Voter list mapping drive underway; public asked to share details

Mangaluru, Jan 21: With the Election Commission of India expected to soon announce a Special Summary Revision of the electoral rolls in Karnataka, preparatory activities are already underway. As part of this process, voter list mapping is being carried out, and the public has been urged to provide necessary information to booth-level officers (BLOs), said deputy commissioner Darshan HV.

He explained that the mapping exercise involves linking the 2002 electoral roll with the 2025 voter list. If a voter’s name is not found in the 2002 electoral roll, the details can be mapped using the part number and serial number of their father, mother, grandfather or grandmother.

Citizens who were registered voters in 2002 have been asked to provide details of the Assembly constituency name or number, part number and serial number where they were residing and registered at that time to the concerned booth-level officer.

In cases where individuals were not voters in 2002, they should furnish details of the Assembly constituency name or number, part number and serial number of the place where their parents or grandparents were registered voters in 2002, the deputy commissioner said.

Members of the public can search for their names in the 2002 electoral roll through the official website https://ceo.karnataka.gov.in/search/en. The deputy commissioner appealed to citizens to extend full cooperation to ensure the mapping exercise is completed smoothly and efficiently.
