Police nab two from Mangaluru in Hebri cattle theft case

Hebri, Jan 17: In connection with a cattle theft and killing case registered at the local police station, the police apprehended two accused near the Ganjimath bus stop at Moodutheraru village in Mangaluru.

The accused have been identified as Wasim Akram (32) and Saifan Mukthasar, residents of Kemmannu Hoode in Udupi district. Following their detention, cases have been registered against them under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, and the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.

The accused were later produced before the court.
