Inter-district motorcycle theft case: Two accused held in Udupi

Udupi, Jan 16: Police have taken into custody two accused in connection with an inter-district motorcycle theft case.

A case was registered at the Manipal police station regarding the theft of a two-wheeler that had been parked near Coin Circle on October 30. Following an investigation, the police apprehended the accused identified as Kiran B N (32) and Yogesh Naik N (22), both residents of Shivamogga. It was also revealed that accused Kiran B N had earlier cases registered against him at the Manipal police station.

The accused were traced and detained under the guidance of Udupi DySP Prabhu D T and under the supervision of Manipal police station inspector Mahesh Prasad. Police sub-inspectors Anil B M and Akshaya Kumari S N, along with staff members Vishwajith, Chethan, Ajmal, Raviraj and Manjunath, were part of the team that assisted in the operation.
