Mumbai, Jan 14: Actor Kartik Aaryan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming creature comedy Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand, where he will be seen portraying a shape-shifting serpent. The film’s penultimate shooting schedule is underway in Mumbai, with the makers aiming to wrap up principal photography by the end of February.

Sources said director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and Aaryan are filming crucial portions of the movie in the city. Actor Ravi Kishan is also part of the ongoing schedule. “In February, the crew will move to Delhi for the final leg of shooting, which will continue for about a month. With this, the principal shoot will be completed, while March has been earmarked for patchwork,” a source revealed.

Given that Naagzilla is a VFX-heavy project, visual effects work is progressing simultaneously to ensure the film meets its scheduled August 14 release. “The makers are keen on delivering a polished and immersive cinematic experience. Once the shoot is over, the team will assess the remaining VFX work and the time required to complete it,” the source added.

The film marks Kartik Aaryan’s second collaboration with Dharma Productions after Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (2025). South actor Sreeleela plays the female lead in Naagzilla, marking her second project with Aaryan. She is also set to make her Bollywood debut opposite him in Anurag Basu’s upcoming musical drama.
