Mangaluru: Road accident claims life of injured two-wheeler rider

Mangaluru, Jan 11: A two-wheeler rider who had sustained critical injuries after his scooter collided with a car succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Mahaz Battappady (24).

According to the details, on the night of January 5, Muhammad Mahaz was returning to his hometown on his scooter after completing catering work in Mangaluru. Near Beeri, his scooter collided with a car that was heading towards Talapady.

He was thrown onto the road and suffered serious injuries. He was initially admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte and later shifted to another private hospital in Mangaluru for further treatment.

Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries late on January 9 night.

A case has been registered at the Mangaluru South Traffic police station.
