Karkala, Jan 10: Until the completion of construction works of the Parashurama Theme Park located at Yerlapady in Bailur village of Karkala taluk, the responsibility for its maintenance will rest with the implementing agency, Udupi Nirmithi Kendra, deputy commissioner (DC) Swaroopa T K has said.
In a detailed set of instructions issued by DC Swaroopa, the implementing agency has been directed to ensure proper maintenance, cleanliness and security of the theme park premises until the project is fully completed and formally handed over.
The agency has been instructed to safeguard all valuable electronic equipment, construction materials and other assets available at the site, and to ensure that no lapses occur.
The DC has directed that immediate steps be taken to clean the theme park premises, including the removal of weeds and proper disposal of waste. CCTV cameras must be installed at the site, and 24×7 security guards deployed to ensure safety. Entry into the theme park should be strictly restricted, and no one other than authorised personnel, including the general public, should be allowed inside the premises.
Cleanliness must also be maintained on the approach roads leading to the theme park. In case of trespassing, officials have been instructed to register an FIR or initiate legal action. Necessary measures should also be taken to ensure that law and order is not disturbed within the theme park area.
All valuable items and construction materials at the site must be protected and maintained in good condition. Until the completion of the project, the implementing agency has been made fully responsible for the overall management of the theme park.
Deputy commissioner Swaroopa has directed the Udupi Nirmithi Kendra to submit a compliance report on the actions taken in this regard to the deputy commissioner’s office by January 10.
Further, officials of the Nirmithi Kendra have been instructed to personally visit the site every week, supervise cleanliness, and submit reports along with GPS-tagged photographs, according to a press release from the deputy commissioner’s office.
