Bantwal: Vittal man accused of assault, drug offences transferred to Chikkamagaluru

Bantwal, Jan 8: Abdul Khader, also known as Shaukat, a resident of Vitla Kasba village in Bantwal taluk, has been implicated in multiple offences, including assault, consumption of prohibited narcotic substances, and violations under the NDPS Act, according to police reports.

Speaking on the matter, a Vittal police official said, “Following investigations and in accordance with the law, the accused has been transferred to ensure proper legal proceedings and safety.”

Acting on the police report, the assistant commissioner and sub-divisional police officer of Mangaluru ordered that Abdul Khader be transferred from Dakshina Kannada district to Mudigere police station in Chikkamagaluru district.

In line with the directives, the accused was safely handed over to Chikkamagaluru police on Thursday, January 8, ensuring strict compliance with the authorities’ order.

The police have confirmed that all necessary precautions were taken during the transfer, and the matter will now be handled by the jurisdictional authorities in Chikkamagaluru.
