Bantwal, Jan 1: A youth died after accidentally falling from the terrace of his house at Nadudande House in Moodanadugodu village of Bantwal taluk on the night of December 30.

The deceased has been identified as Praveen (26), son of Chandra Poojary. His brother Prasad has lodged a complaint at the Punjalkatte police station.

According to the complaint, Prasad and his brother Praveen used to spend time chatting on the terrace of their house every night after dinner. As usual, both went to the terrace around 9 pm on Tuesday. While Prasad returned indoors at around 10 pm, Praveen stayed back as he was speaking on his mobile phone.

At around 10.10 pm, Prasad heard a loud noise, as if something had fallen from above. He, along with his mother and sister, immediately rushed outside and found Praveen lying unconscious on the ground. He was shifted to the Bantwal government hospital, where the duty doctor examined him and declared him dead.

Prasad stated in his complaint that there is no suspicion regarding his brother’s death and requested legal formalities to be carried out.

Bantwal rural police have registered a case. Praveen was working as a waiter at a bar.
