Mangaluru: Hindu organisations conduct goodwill procession supporting Manjanady Uroos

Mangaluru, Dec 26: In a heartening display of communal harmony, members of various Hindu organisations took out a goodwill procession and offered horekaanike to the Hazrath Asayyed Ismail Valiyullahil Bukhari Manjanady Uroos.

The procession, organised by Nityananda Seva Samiti, Nityananda Nagara; Hanuman Friends Hindupura Asaigoli; Team Asaigoli; Shakti Friends Akashabhavan, Mangaluru; Sneha Balaga, Mangaluru; Om Shakti, Mangaluru; Barke Friends, Kudroli; Brothers Kolya; and Sai Friends, Asaigoli, began from Asaigoli Junction and proceeded to the Manjanady Central Masjid. Through the procession, essential items including 15 quintals of rice, sugar, vegetables and other materials were offered as horekaanike to the Uroos.

Addressing the gathering, Sai Friends Asaigoli president Sunil Poojary said the programme was organised with the intention of promoting unity and togetherness. “We should all remain united and collectively contribute to the success of the Uroos,” he said.

Ganesh Asaigoli said Hindu brethren had come forward to offer horekaanike to the Manjanady Uroos and prayed that God would continue to bless everyone with harmony and goodwill.

Manjanady Juma Masjid president Abdul Azeez Mysore Bava said that when the Uroos began on December 17, Hindu brothers had expressed their desire to offer horekaanike, which the mosque committee had gladly accepted. “Today they have fulfilled that commitment, and we are happy about it,” he said.

Abdul Azeez Partippady of the Manjanady Juma Masjid said the horekaanike offered by Hindu brothers symbolised communal harmony, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence, reflecting their affection for the jamaat, the mosque leadership, committee members and the Muslim community.

Pradeep Asaigoli, Srikanth, Ashraf, Shoukat Ali Asaigoli, Praveen Munna, Harish Poojary, K Manjunath, Vicky Poojary Mangaluru, Nagaraj Shetty Mani, Preetham Shetty Aladi, Iqbal Baru and others were present on the occasion.
