Nashik, Nov 30: In a shocking incident in Phulemalwadi village of Deola taluka, a 40-year-old man, Govinda Balkrishna Shewale, allegedly killed his wife and two young children before taking his own life. The horrifying event came to light on Sunday morning, indicating it occurred during the night.

Before taking the extreme step, Shewale reportedly posted a WhatsApp status reading “Heartfelt Tribute.” His younger brother saw the post and immediately sensed something was wrong, informing other relatives. Upon reaching the family home, they discovered the gruesome scene. A large crowd gathered at the site, prompting police to control the situation. A forensic team is investigating to determine whether it was a case of murder-suicide and to uncover possible motives.

The deceased have been identified as Govinda Shewale, his wife Komal (35), daughter Khushi (8), and son Shyam (1.5). Initial observations suggest Govinda hanged himself while his wife and children were found lying asleep. Reports indicate that some of Govinda’s in-laws allegedly attempted to attack his brother and mother at the scene.

The bodies have been sent to Deola Rural Hospital for postmortem, with Nashik divisional forensic teams assisting local police under Inspector Sarthak Nehete. Investigations are ongoing.
