Anupam Kher conferred with the DAV Ratna Award by the governor

Mumbai (RBI), Nov 30: Renowned actor Anupam Kher, an alumnus of DAV Public School, Shimla, was today honoured with the DAV Ratna Award by governor Acharya Devvrat.

At Raj Bhavan, distinguished alumni of the institution were felicitated by the governor on behalf of the DAV Management Committee. On this occasion, the governor congratulated all the alumni and appreciated their contributions to the nation through various fields.

Anupam Kher shared that he studied from class 1 to class 11 at DAV Public School, Shimla. He said that the institution imparted to him Indian values and patriotic ideals, and that DAV Public School holds a special place in his life. He recalled that in those days teachers used to give strict punishment, but they also provided love and valuable guidance.

The event was attended by the governor’s wife Darshana Devi, president of the DAV College managing committee Poonam Suri, director of DAV Dr Nisha Peshin, and other officials of the institution.
