Konkan Railway to halt six trains at Canacona for Partagali Math 550th celebration

Daijiworld Media Network - Canacona

Canacona, Nov 24: In view of the 550-year celebrations of Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math (SSGPJM) at Partagali, Canacona, six trains running on the Konkan Railway route have been granted approval for a temporary one-minute halt at Canacona Railway Station.

The temporary stoppages will be in effect from November 27 to December 6, coinciding with the Sardha Panchashatamanostsava, an 11-day grand celebration planned by the Math.

The move comes following a request from SSGPJM, which expects a large influx of devotees from Mangaluru, Udupi, Karwar, Gokarna, and other parts of the Konkan region.

Additionally, the Math has sought permission to set up an information kiosk at Canacona Railway Station to assist and guide visiting devotees. The kiosk will be solely for informational purposes, with no commercial activity permitted.

This initiative ensures that pilgrims can conveniently access the celebrations while maintaining smooth train operations along the Konkan Railway.
