Aspiring actor, software engineer ends life in Parola

Jalgaon, Oct 27: In a heart-wrenching incident, a 25-year-old aspiring actor from Undirkhede village in Parola taluk, Jalgaon district, died by suicide by hanging himself at his residence. The deceased has been identified as Sachin Ganesh Chandwad (25), who was soon to appear in the web series Jamtara 2 and the film Asurvan. He was also employed as a software engineer at a reputed IT park in Pune.

The tragic incident occurred around 1.30 pm on October 23, when Sachin allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan in a room on the upper floor of his home. Family members rushed him to a nearby private hospital after discovering the act. As his condition worsened, he was shifted to Dhule for advanced treatment but succumbed during treatment around 1.30 am on October 24.

Sachin was known to be a bright professional with a deep passion for acting since childhood. While pursuing his career in the IT sector, he simultaneously followed his artistic dreams, participating in film and web projects in Mumbai and Pune.

His upcoming role in Asurvan was eagerly awaited, and just five days before the incident, Sachin had shared an Instagram post about the film’s release. He was also set to appear in Jamtara Season 2 and had acted in the short film Vishay Close. Apart from acting, he was an active member of a Dhol-Tasha troupe and frequently performed with Marathi celebrities during festivals like Ganeshotsav and Gudi Padwa, often sharing photos of these events on social media.

The sudden and untimely demise of this talented young man has cast a pall of gloom over Undirkhede village and across the Parola taluk. Police at Parola station have registered a case of accidental death, and the reason behind his suicide remains unknown.
